Does Lush's Sleepy lotion work?

If you're anything like me and struggle to fall asleep at night even after trying several #insomnia cures found on #google, downloading dedicated playlists on #Youtube claiming to help you fall asleep faster, which I might I say did have an affect on me for a while but quickly wore out.

The only tried and tested thing that actually worked for me was having my husband give me a massage which truly did the magic but lets be honest I can't have him do that every time I want to #sleep..

I was looking for a quick fix, something to knock me out faster instead of spending hours counting sheep and I stumbled upon #Lush's #SleepLotion which apparently helps you do just that.

So let's jump straight into it. Does #Lush's #SleepLotion actually work?

I was extremely skeptical about a #cream which you'd slather all over your #body which would apparently help you catch some much needed zzz's

The lotion itself contains ingredients such as :

  • Almond Oil

  • Lavender Flower Infusion

  • Lavender Water & Oil

  • Jojoba Oil

  • Cocoa Butter

  • Ylang Ylang Oil and Tonka amongst others

Now, it's starting to make a lot more sense! We all know Lavender is known for helping with #relaxation and reducing #anxiety. The other #ingredients such as #Jojoba and #Cocoa makes this lotion super creamy and #luxurious, which means you'll spend a little more time than usual lathering it into your skin for total absorption and let's not forget about how #divine it smells, if you're not that into #lavender you probably won't like this as much.

After applying this cream all over I actually managed to drift off to sleep much quicker than I usually do but I can't put it down to whether it was about the process of applying the #lotion or the lotion itself working its #magic.

In all honesty I think it's the combination of the two that make this product actually work.

It's kinda like a mini #pamper session every night which actually helps you feel more at ease and #relaxed and definitely reduces #anxiety.

While there's no #study or #scientific evidence that proves this lotion actually helps you fall asleep, nor is it stated anywhere on #Lush's website that this product will cure your #insomnia.

It definitely works for me!So if you're looking to catch some extra zzz's give this product a whiz and tell me how you feel.

You can purchase #SleepyLotion from #Lush for R140.00 for a 95g or R265.00 for a 215g tub.

Lots of Love
